If you are looking for a full restoration or just repair work to a classic/muscle car, I recommend Knight's Body Shop.  They restored my 1967 SS Nova & 1963 Galaxy P-Code, and also made several repairs to other projects for me.  I had a few concerns with my Galaxy that I discussed with him, and he promptly corrected them. He knows the hobby & understands what we as car enthusiasts want.  His attention to detail is second to none.  I plan on using Knight's Body Shop again in the near future.

Our first experience with Knight's Body Shop was 5 years ago. We had a 1957 Ford that we wanted a quality paint job for. We have had a lot of trouble in the past getting paint on cars that we were satisfied with. We were extremely happy with the quality of the paint job, as well as the short period of time that it took. It was very obvious that much attention to detail was given to our car.

Soon after this experience, we bought a 1969 Mustang Mach I project. We entered into an agreement with Duane to do a 90% "nuts and bolts" restoration. The car turned out beautifully. The job was done with such expertise and professionalism that it was difficult to believe that it was not brand new. We had obsolutely no problem getting top dollar for the vehicle when we sold it.

We have been so pleased with the quality of work from Knight's Body Shop that we have continued to send our project cars there. We currently have another frame-off restoration in progress - a 1966 Corvette convertible. It is nearly complete and, again, another beautiful car. We have already had offers to purchase it even before it is done!

Based on our experience with Knights' Body Shop over the past years, we will continue to utilize their services. We would highly recommend their services to anyone who wants quality "show car" work at a reasonable price.

To whom it may concern,

I own a 1966 Chevelle SS396 in which Dwayne Knight; owner of Knight’s Body Shop completed a frame off restoration. My car was in fair condition and would get a look and comment or two each time I took it out. However since Dwayne completed the very professional restoration, I continuously get thumbs up and financial offers to buy. It has been a couple years now and the car still looks as if it was just completed. The paint is flawless and all the seams are correctly aligned.

If you or anyone you know is considering a restoration project, I highly recommend Dwayne Knight and his staff. It’s not just a job, but a passion that the professionals at Knight’s Body Shop retain.

Sincerely, Roger Graham, (843) 665-9773

Knight's Body Shop has done many repairs, large and small, business and personal, and I find that Duane's work to be superior over any others that I have used in the past. He has also done (2) complete frame off rotisserie restoration for me. I think the 1st frame off rotisserie that he ever did was for me and I feel like he may have found the "nitch" in the paint and body shop field he had been looking for, to keep his interest and maybe put some fun and enjoyment back into his labors.

The 1st car he did for me was a 1970 Chevelle SS 454/4 speed. I found out pretty quickly that Duane wanted my car to the best it could be as much as I did and that pleased me more than I can say. It is a good feeling to know that the body shop that is restoring your car, means as much to the owner of the shop as it does to you. Duane to a great deal of time and labor to see that all the body panels and gaps were as good as they could be, which is much better than when the factory originally built the car as it rolled down the assembly line. I remember a conversation with Duane about the Cowl Induction hood on my car had some rust pitting on the top side of the hood and he ask me to try and find a New Old Stock (NOS) or a good used OEM hood if I could. I tried for days to locate one but to no avail, so I told him I would order a new aftermarket hood and he could put it on the car. He politely told me that he would put the extra time to repair the hood I had properly due to the fact that the aftermarket parts were not as good of a fit as the OEM parts were, so again I knew I had my car at the right place to have it restored. He always has told me that what the car looked like when it left his shop and the quality of the work performed while it was there was his decision because he virtually had his signature on the car when it left and he wanted it to be as nice as he could make it.
The 2nd car he did for me was a 1972 Corvette and he did an excellent job with it as well.

I highly (and do) recommend Knight's Body Shop and his staff to anyone that wants a 1st class restoration on any car. Everyone that works there are "old car buffs" and mostly do it for the enjoyment as much as the pay and that always makes for a good combination. It is hard at times to justify spending the kind of money it takes to do a resto properly, but I have found that it will always pay you back when you sell it. Duane will not sacrifice quality just to get the business and that is why when and if you ever get a chance to go by his shop, you will normally see several high end restorations in progress. Anyone is welcome to call me or look at my, oops, my wife's Corvette and I will honestly answer any questions you may be having about any of the work that Duane has done for me and has done for many of my friends.
